My husband drinks only tea so I wanted a small coffee maker and purchased this one a couple of yrs ago. It took a few times to get the hang of it but now I put in a little over 2 cups of H2O and I grind 2 full tablespoons of coffee beans, use a 4 cup filter and voila! I have a fresh 2 cups of coffee. That is all it really makes is 2 -2:1/2 cups which is perfect for myself or even me and a guest. It is quite hot,not as hot as I would like it, but I haven’t found many coffee makers that do make it pipiing hot. I drink it black so it is fine. Many guests have liked it but I can not find it in any stores. Want to purchase another one for a friend. It sure beats having to spend on the pods/cups as I have a larger coffee maker I use when I have a number of guests, and so always have coffee beans available. Last week had one guest wanted decaf and the other high octane so used two pots. Great and easy. Use the suggestions regarding the filter and placing the arm in position before closing. Works like a charm.

This is a bargain for the quality of the coffee pot. I can definitely tell the difference from this device and $ 20 for that matter, that those who do not cost a fine, just as hot drinks and delicious coffee taste. Easy to program. Coffee maker, clean and new as well. I love it.

I had coffee for a few months now, and good works. If you have a really anal about one or a few drops of water when full, do not buy it. Spread a bit, but I do not know whether to clean the bottle or packaging. I hope over time as the background, not Peggy. I highly recommend it.

I’ve had my DCC-2600 for over a year now and, in general, been very happy with it. It makes a good, fast, hot cup of coffee. It’s easy to program and use, has all the features I could want (and quite a few I don’t even need), and looks great in our kitchen. It wasn’t cheap, but the price wasn’t really unreasonable. I’m with other reviewers 100%, no complaints in those departments.

So, why not five stars? A few minor things.

For one, if you are using the gold filter and it’s not snapped in all the way, it will overflow the grounds and make a huge mess inside the coffee maker. The valve that lets you pour a cup while brewing doesn’t open all the way, and it backs up. Even being aware of this and doing everything to avoid it, it still will happen periodically and takes five – ten minutes to clean up.

The other irritation is filling the water reservoir from the carafe. Cusinart designed the inside of the coffe maker great with wide openings, but the lid and carafe shape make it hard to get in close and pour accurately. Half the time I end up splashing and having to wipe up the counter.
